Day 1.356: Christmas Cake-gate

It turns out that Rudolph (if that's his real name) is not only a goat - he's a fake too:

That was yesterday. Today he had his nose back on having dived head-first into the snow and re-attached it himself. Really. Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.

However, even if the red nose was not real, it turns out that the plastic trees with blobs of icing on that adorned the Christmas Cakes of my youth were strikingly realistic - if not a common sight where we lived at the time.

And yes I am going to keep on at the '-gate' business until it goes away.
