By the way (although I wasn't talking about the weather) it was bitterly cold again today and the local consensus says it's much too early to call the end of winter at this stage - at lunchtime we exchanged stories of major snow storms in March 2007, in May and in another March after temperatures had been up to 90°F earlier in the month.
