Day 2.055: Homeward bound

Around lunchtime today, we left the conference to undertake the seven hour drive back home. It was an uneventful journey - we took a more westerly route than the one we took on the way down to avoid a potential encounter with the area around New York City during the Friday rush-hours. When we eventually turned east the sun was setting behind us.

I made it in time to see the kids before they went to bed. It's great to be home. It was nice to be away and the conference was very good and left us with lots to think about, but it's really great to be home.
