Day 3.211: Water, sand, sunshine and friends...

We didn't go to the beach today, but we did find both sand and water albeit at opposite sides of our formerly local park in Cambridge where we had arranged to meet E, H and R. Exile #3 still lists H as her best friend despite having been apart for nearly half of their lives - they certainly seemed to pick right up where they left off last year.

Here's the sand - in the newest addition to the park's facilities.

Later, they had fun splashing around in the paddling pools.

Until it was time to pose for a final picture and say goodbye.

We spent the evening with friends of both us and this blog, A & N.  The kids had a good time playing with their four year-old J (and his toys) and we caught up about churches and work with relatively few child-administered interruptions which was great!

We left as the sun was going down after a very full and happy day.
