Day 4.050: Life and Seoul
It has been an eventful day. We woke to fairly heavy snow and very poor visibility which put a damper on our plan to see the city from the big viewing tower. Instead we visited a palace and museum and later as the weather lifted took a cablecar to the bottom of the tower.
After that it was time to get to the station, buy our train tickets, grab some lunch and catch the train. However, the ticket machine, having first rejected two different cards, accepted thirteen 10000 won notes and then its screen went blank and no tickets or money came out. I found someone who switched it off and on again, handed me back the notes and said to try again. After 10 minutes we were able to do that and rush to our train.
Fortunately we were able to get some lunch on the train. It was rather good actually.
I'm sendng this by email from my phone since we are not in a hotel but in an old fashioned Korean house which has no Wi-Fi (or chairs or beds for that matter).
(Updated with pictures now)
Now my sleeping mat is calling!
