Day 4.024: Dig, carry, throw, ache...
It took us until after lunchtime to dig ourselves out of our driveway yesterday. We did it in three phases. Here is a time lapse of the first two. Because the banks are so high we were forced into choosing between carrying each shovel-full down a path and dumping it behind the banks or throwing it at head-height over them.
We were both aching a bit today.

At least it keeps you fit! Maybe it's time to invest in some heavy machinery http://www.gizmag.com/for-the-man-with-everything-the-v8-snowblower/4889/picture/17575/

We'd need one this big now so that the snow would clear the banks - of course if you start with a thrower/blower then you never make the big banks in the first place as you will recall!
