We decided after yesterday's lazy day to eschew the chance to watch Andy Murray's second chance against Federer at Wimbledon and other Olympics-watching in favour of a trip to the beach.
We made it there before the crowds at about 10 am and had a very nice three-hour visit including a picnic and swimming (for everyone). We could have stayed longer, but were content to leave as the weather started to close in ahead of a line of storms.
As the rain started to fall soon after we left, we were congratulating ourselves for leaving when we did...then this happened:
Yeah. We were rear-ended into the car in front as we slowed suddenly following a minor shunt a few cars ahead. Not our happiest moment ever, but everyone in all five cars (two from the original accident, and three from ours) was basically fine. As for the car, it was towed leaving us at the side of the road to find our way home - which we did after a while thanks to a noble rescue mission.
