Day 1.234: Dairy produce obeys gravity

This morning we drove 180 miles to Ithaca NY. The drive was long but easy and uneventful. On arrival, we went straight to Buttermilk Falls State Park for a picnic and a short hike. The trail starts at the foot of the very gentle (at the moment anyway) falls.

The gorge trail is mainly steps up the side of the stream. But each turn has a surprise in store.

We had a great day. After dinner we returned to our hotel room and I finally worked out how to work the message system to stop the red light blinking at us all night - "This is the front desk calling to check everything is OK with your room - please remember that we are here 24/7 for your inconvenience...er, sorry I mean convenience..." Too late - we're already laughing our heads off.

  1. Clearly the state governor enjoyed Track 7 on this well known (!?) albumn so much, he named a park after it...

  2. Thanks - I never need to worry about the obscurity of my musical references again.
