Day 1.239: Not Josephine tonight
We returned to the Adirondack Museum today to find another event in full swing - this time the Rustic Furniture Fair. We knew this was happening, but had no idea what a huge draw it would be. Certainly neither museum nor parking-lot was empty like the Tuileries. In the end, however the only furniture that the girls were particularly interested in were the magic shrinking chair and the magic giant chair (but which is which? - the magic is still alive).
We had a good visit, although at one point it rained so hard that the lake which the site overlooks disappeared completely - at least two members of staff said they'd never heard of such a thing despite the unpredictability of the weather there - they had snow on opening day this season and that was May 23rd.
Most of the afternoon was however rain-free, so it was something of a shock to get home to the full effects of a day influenced by the approach of Hanna.
Thanks in part to my Dad for pop pun 74 for title watchers - so strange victory.
