Day 4.089: Rivers spin

This afternoon we managed to get to our regular family-photo location for the first time since the thaw started. We didn't have a huge amount of energy so we restricted ourselves to a lap of the Beaver Pond where we saw a fair amount of wildlife (picture below are a turkey vulture, several painted turtles, a couple of Canada Geese, and a muskrat) but no beavers.

More remarkable than all that was the weather and the number of human beings we saw.  Clearly the warm sun had brought a number of people out for a hike.  It was good to see.

When Exile #4 got out of the car she declared delightedly, "Grass!" later adding "It's Spring!"  It certainly is.
