Day 6.270: No tornado, but look to the skies!

We were under a tornado watch for most of the day. In the end a powerful front came through with some pretty dramatic weather for a few minutes - but no tornadoes and only a few claps of thunder.

A couple of hours later as the sun went down, the sky in the west turned an amazing shade of gold and in the east...

People were standing around staring (and probably taking much better photos than I did with my iPhone) because it was so extraordinary.
