Day 2.023: Ice spy (my shadow)

While I was taking photographs of the row of little icicles on Saturday, Exile #3 persuaded me to pull down this foot-long one for her.

She proceeded to pose very nicely even after I over-exposed the first set.

The weather has been well above freezing again today, but there is still little chance of seeing the ground with another cold spell and even a chance of some...err...snow ahead for the next couple of days. I think Phil probably got it right this year.

How is the UK snow emergency affecting the transatlantic readers?

  2. snow, what snow? Don't get me started on how all these southerners can't cope with the lightest dusting of snow! Remember that the BBC is based in London and the vast majority of it's staff live in the home counties. The only contact they have with the rest of the country is a sign on the M1 saying 'The North'.

When I were t'lad (adopt northern accent of your choice) y'just put on t'bobble 'at an' got on wi'it...

(admittedly yesterday was a bit slippy underfoot but today is fine. It's pretty much melted.)
