We were snowed-on today - it was quite unexpected as the weather was otherwise bright and often sunny - albeit quite chilly. I don't know if it snowed down here, but we were up on high ground at Thacher Park with a colleague visiting from the UK. Here we are at the sight of previous watery antics. Today, we satisfied ourselves with standing near the stream.
Although this point is often near the beginning of our walks here, today it was as far as we got due to the walk up the trail to this point had been made more interesting than usual by the significant amounts of snow underfoot and our inappropriate footwear. Our visitor seemed to survive the considerable chaos we inflicted on him today - in any case it wouldn't have been right for him to visit Upstate NY in March and not get snowed on.
It's pop pun 98 for title watchers - not that he is staying here, he'll be going back next week. As for us: we come from the land.
