Day 3.141: Memorial Day Cook-out
The day began with the parade. Once again, Exile #2 accompanied the veterans, fire departments, school sports teams and local government dignitaries in the parade. This year the MOPS group she helps organise has been doing a series on 'Life on Planet Mom', so they brought some planets with them.
Meanwhile we watched from the sidelines as the innumerable people and a few shiny fire trucks went by:
There are more of my parade pictures here.
Afterwards, we joined our next-door neighbours at the next house down where we had a great cook-out while the kids of the three households had a blast. Conversation and food were good and the five hours we were there flew by.
