I tried out my first recipe from my Father's Day book: Weber's Smoke. It was the one where you cook a chicken standing up on a half-full beer can in a grill with mesquite smoke.
In our case it was a Diet Coke can - washed out and half-filled with gluten-free beer, but the principle was in place.
It tasted good too. The parcels contain thinly-sliced and layered potato and onions with salt, pepper and oil - a grill-day favourite for us.
The grill is now sleeping under its new cover - another Father's Day present. Now we just need to find an opportunity to watch Serenity and I am up to date!
