It took us a couple of days to get to grips with the new construction toy this Christmas. This was the first large successful construction (on December 27th). Exile #4 when finding it didn't immediately collapse when she breathed on it said it was 'completely staple' (sic) which goes to show what the last few had been like.The relative lengths of the short and long links mean that certain triangulations work perfectly while others seem to work but don't quite build true. It all adds to the challenge of building cool towers of course - E5N1 took to his role without any difficulty at all (and they do make a very satisfying collapsing sound in real life).
It was back-to-school for the girls today and real back-to-work for me. We survived the day - but the week looks quite long from here.
