This evening we have been at the last event of this Halloween season - a party thrown by an expat Brit and featuring (for the second year) a pantomime to bemuse her American friends and neighbours. This year's had an election theme - the female baddy was a triumph of style over substance, trying to steal the election, "Not steal - I'm trying to buy it!" by giving free candy to the young electorate. Halloween election-season gold.
E5N1 was temporarily disturbed by this character - but you'll be glad to hear that the nice young man behind the mask was quick to remove it to reassure him.
