We had a mostly-quiet day. Exile #3 and Exile #4 went to a girls' engineering experience at RPI (if I hear anything about it, I'll let you know) and E5N1 had a play-date, so Exile #2 and I had an hour or so on our own in the middle of the afternoon to get some things done.
This evening we had a very nice night out with friends (parents of kids at school with our kids). It seems that at least two of us had conversations with our own kids about it - ours involved a guessing game about who we might be friendly with out of their friends' parents - they got there in the end. One of the other kindergartners having established who her parents were going out with said, "So, is it a play-date?"
As it turned out - yes it was. After drinks and dinner (at New World Bistro Bar), we ended up doing this:
with varying degrees of success, but a good deal of enthusiasm!
