The girls' school was celebrating Read Across America Day and invited the students to go dressed as their favourite character. Exile #4 decided on Cinderella - fairly predictably at least one of her three year old classmates chose the same alter-ego. Exile #3 decided to be Pippi Longstocking and has been secretly growing her hair to make it possible. Well not really. For the uninitiated, Mr Nilsson is the monkey. We drew the line at letting her take a horse to school.
After school had the pleasure of Albaniana's children's company while their parents were taking their 5-hour classroom course required to allow them to book a driving test. It seems for the most part the kids played very nicely, then E5N1 and Exile #4 went to bed at normal time, while the three over 5's watched Peter Pan. We spent the whole time they were watching dreading Exile #4's footsteps on the stairs - what's going on here then? - but happily they never came.
I managed a fairly successful day of work at work which was very welcome after what feels like weeks of disruption caused by my short trip west to the Far East.
