Day 5.051: Snow, Dewi
It may be shocking to some, but the national day of Wales is not a holiday here in the US. However, thanks to a significant snowfall (possibly assisted by the snowless winter that preceded it), the kids had the day off school for St David's Day.
I left the family building a fort in the wet snow and all looking rather happy about it, but Welsh activities followed including some colouring (Exile #3 did a rather fantastic job as you can see - check out the checks!), Welsh language practice and, finally this evening, Welsh cakes.
Exile #4, however, despite cheering for Wales in the recent rugby match between England and Wales, skipped most of the St David's Day celebrations to make the most of the snow - including having a go at snow-boarding in a neighbour's yard.
