Day 5.057: Animal surprises

Here are a few more pictures from the Berkshire Museum to get us over the middle of the week.  Our first stop was the aquarium in the basement.  Pictured the baby snappers, some fish, a giant frog, a cute gecko and Exile #3 playing an animal/description matching game.

When you match the correct animal name with the description, the snake's eyes light up - which is a surprise, but nothing to the surprise that this display caused:

Wow, those peepers are tiny - no wonder I couldn't spot them when I tried to find the source of this racket.

And the final surprise was discovering that scorpions fluoresce under UV light.

along with how dirty that window is.

  1. Wow...those Peepers must be well trained to sit on that piece of moss all day ;-)

  2. Now you mention it, I didn't hear a peep from either of them.
